HP has launched a duo of new monochrome printer families based on the advances it learned from its 2022 models — LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 and LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 — devising new printers for an age of better printer workflow, enterprise security, and intelligent options.
HP says that security is the biggest uptick in the new Jet’s capabilities. The Enterprise series adds quantum-resistant security and HP Wolf Enterprise Security that “helps businesses combat an evolving landscape of cyber exposure,” says the announcement. The Pro series “shows a notable commitment to sustainability with energy efficient products and toner cartridges that contain recycled materials”.
The LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 series is targeted at small to mid-size businesses. With a compact design, simple deployment, and improved duplex printing, users will benefit from HP’s new TerraJet toner technology, promising greater efficiency and page yields. Built-in AI capabilities streamline daily tasks by automatically formatting, naming, and sharing documents.
Built for the larger organizations and high-volume use workplaces, the LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 series boasts print speeds of up to 57 pages per minute and duplex scan speeds of up to 200 images per minute. Other capabilities include remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, fast component replacement when necessary, AI-oriented OCR, document-sensitive data redaction, and cloud-based document handling.
